First Impression & Experience: ★☆☆☆☆
It's so much more light-weight than their OG hydrating lotion that their brand is well-known for. It's easier and less messy if you filled it into the spray bottle given, due to its watery texture.
It stings my face when I apply it. There's also a very heavy smell & it chokes my throat and lung every time I use it no matter what way I use to apply (pour on palms/spray bottle). It has quite a pungent smell, probably cause of the alcohol content in it, so I have to hold my breath every time I apply it and quickly leave the bathroom afterwards (which is quite funny and inconvenient 😂)
Pros:
- Cheap price point
- Big volume
- Light-weight and can be used as mist to top-up hydration
Cons:
- Have heavy pungent smell that can choke the throat and lungs
- Not hydrated enough
- Irritates and further dries up my dry-combination skin
Final Thoughts & Conclusion:
I would consider it as a re-hydrating mist rather than a toner for my skin type (dry-combination). But after using it for a week, I can feel that it's somewhat not hydrated enough and makes my face more irritated especially around the mouth area. Even if I tried the Korean's 7-skin-method, it still stings my face on every layer of application and making my face more dry, so I stopped when I'm on my 2nd layer. After using this toner, applying serums for further hydration and sealed it in with a thick moisturizer, the skin still peels off and rashes appears around the area of my mouth.
As stated on the packaging itself, it's for blemish-prone skin type. I tried it again when my skin condition was bad during premenstrual cycle and has some pimples, but it doesn't soothes my skin at all and further irritates it.
It will be more suitable for people with oily skin type and who needs some sebum control.
Repurchase? ★☆☆☆☆
I would not repurchase this product due to the allergic and irritation reaction it has caused to my face. However, I'll empty the remaining products by applying to my body and give the other bottle to relatives or family members that may be more suited to this product. So far, it provides hydration for my dry back after every hot bathes.
